Do you have any students interested in a navy career or navy vessels?

Come aboard the HMAS Ararat! 

The HMAS Ararat is one of 14 Armidale Class Patrol Boats; highly capable and versatile warships which are able to conduct a wide variety of missions and tasks.  One of the primary duties is their contribution to the 'Civil Surveillance Program'.  Surveillance and Boarding operations conducted by the Royal Australian Navy safeguard Australia's sovereignty and significantly contribute to the security of our nation. Operations of these botas protect against unauthorized entry, breaches of customs, immigration and drugs legislation, other illegal activity and in support of law enforcement, preserve the integrity of Australia's national fish-stocks, marine environment and other natural resources.

Please note:  Navy ship visits may change or be cancelled at late notice due to operational commitments.

Information for HMAS ARARAT visitors:
Essential:  Covered footwear (no thongs or sandals) -  Navy ships have many safety hazards - wearing non-slip covered shoes will ensure that you don't injure yourself when moving about the ship.

It may be difficult to carry bags through the ship. If possible, have small bag only.
