Work experience within Defence provides an opportunity to experience one of the wide variety of careers available in Defence. This two-day work experience program at the Derwent Barracks, Glenorchy involves structured job description for each sub unit within 2FSB (2nd Force Support Battalion) for Defence employment opportunities.
Each day's program consists of a core session from 9am to 4.30pm and then has an evening session from 7.30pm to 9pm to provide the best insight to an army Reserve unit's workings.

* Students participating in Defence work experience placements must be at least 15 years of age at the time of the placement.
Applications for work experience with Defence can only be made using the Defence Work Experience Application Form. This form must be submitted to your school work experience coordinator for submission to Defence.
